Trade-Contractors' Business School

As a result of my experience as a general contractor for our home, on resettling in Canada, I saw how all of our subs are GREAT at their trades, but … they were all facing the same challenges:

  • time to get projects done and customer demands
  • cash flow and sales & marketing
  • staffing issues and family & personal time

I made the construction industry my niche market. I identified that these folks are generally GREAT at what they do, but they lack knowledge when it comes to running a business. Logical, since they didn't attend business school.

Trade-Contractor Case Study

The mason who built our ICF basement was Warren Gossage of Cornerstone Construction. We found that he was not only good at his job, but extremely conscientious about the work he did and the people for whom he did the work. On hearing about Business Success Coaching, Warren hired my services. Why?

Warren had been in the construction business for some 35 years. He was still working harder and was busier than imaginable. Retirement had to come soon but it didn't seem like it was just around the corner. Next were his teams. With Warren's working more on the business and less in it, he delegated more. After a few months he had the best teams he'd ever had working for him!
